100 mile, 200 mile, and 12-hour UMCA Records are official

We were just informed by UMCA Records Chairman Drew Clark that Maria's recrords are now official. And on her way to the 12-hour record, she also set the 100 mile and 200 mile records!

Here is the email:
Dear Maria,
Your records are now officially certified by UMCA As follows:
Maria Parker, 46, Lumberton NC
Unfaired recumbent Road Course (newly surveyed course near White Oak, North Carolina)
100 Mile      4 hr 47 min 56 sec      20.84 mph
200 Mile      9 hr 55 min 34 sec      20.15 mph
12 Hour      241 miles 44 feet (241.008468 miles)     20.08 mph

October 10, 2009 Officials: Brad Losh, Bill Harris

Notes: The 100 Mile Road record betters the time set by Pamela Atwood in 2006 (5:15:06). The 200 Mile Road record is the first ever certified by UMCA for a woman. The 12 Hour Road record betters the distance achieved by Nancy Raposo in 1992 (240 miles). The Atwood and Raposo records will remain listed as they are still the best achieved on a standard bike, but Maria Parker has the overall record now for all three events.
Great trifecta for Maria Parker!

Drew Clark, UMCA Records Chairman
