    Wide 700C tires

Is there info about suitable wide tires for the Silvio 2 somewhere? I'm considering an ebike conversion (rear) so I'll definitively have to go wider than my current 25mm tubulars.

"hack" for keeping Radical Design banana racers away from wheel

Thanks, I was looking for a solution here. I rubbed a bad hole into mine (had to be somewhere fast and could not stop to fiddle with it). The non existing carrying capacity of the Silvio has often caused me not to use it for daily errands.

    S30 disc 'fast' driven-wheel recommendations.

For my Silvio 2.1 I also went with Chinese carbon rims as I could specify everything. Paid $450 shipped for the 35mm pair with disk brake hubs, tubulars. Recommended.

Silvio 2.1 - not for sale but for loan

I'm moving to Europe for a year (late August through May 2018) and can't take my Silvio 2.1 with me. Rather than have it sit here all year I'd like to loan it to someone for that time, provided some commonsense conditions are met. You may contact me at cruzbikeco@gmail.com if that's of interest...

Golden, Colorado: loaning out my Silvio 2.1 for up to a year

Greetings, I'm moving to Europe for a year (late August through May 2018) and can't take my Silvio 2.1 with me. Rather than have it sit here all year I'd like to loan it to someone for that time, provided some commonsense conditions are met. You may contact me at cruzbikeco@gmail.com if that's...

new carbon seat - just lighter or also longer?

I'd rush to buy the new carbon seat but if it's the same length I don't want it. Unfortunately no info is given. The old design is too short to attach any of the standard seat bags because they'll collide with the rear wheel. And a bike that can't transport anything bigger than an apple is...

Anyone tried the Granfondo H20 DLX Seat Bag?

no but... No, I haven't tried it. But I'll tell you that the seat is really ill suited for bags as it's too low. I'm actually looking at getting a longer seat installed just so I can mount a decent rear bag.

Silvio 2.0 and 27 Degree Seat Angle

found company that makes closed cell wedges for $5 The kayak seat builder's advice intrigued me and I googled closed cell foam. Turns out there's a company that will make wedges to your specification for next to nothing ($5) from the material of your choice. It gets expensive if you want it...

    Silvio seat insert

will certainly try this I'll certainly try this as the low angle really bothers me. Never managed to make peace with the head rest - it interferes with my helmet and is an issue with adding (and quickly removing) a bag. When I hop on my Carbent (basically a carbon Bacchetta) it's instantly...

    Handlebars

I have not. Instead I bought I have not. Instead I bought carbon racing bars. I'm almost always grabbing the grifters like horns from the side. Excellent pull. Shifting with the little finger (my SRAM Red work with very little effort). That move saved weight and the cost was $45.

    front suspension deflates

Wondering what's happening. Twice now my front suspension has collapsed. Had it at 150 units but when I got off the bike at home I noticed it had gone completely flat. Am I doing something wrong or is that a defect?

Building my new Silvio, need your bragging help

go with carbon rims I got custom carbon rims from China via Ebay for $450 shipped, very light, went with tubular rims and disk. Gatorskin tires mounted with Tufo tape (=5 minutes) and added Stan's sealant. The Force 2014 Yaw FD is identical to the Red FD but costs half.

Boom too long - cut it?

unanswered: measure with shoes or barefoot? You are right, this was never answered - and I forgot what I did when I measured.

Converting a delta trike to a Cruzbike drivechain

Vortex I tried the Vortex last summer and the very low weight is a delight. Swiss longwheel base recumbent maker Fateba used to offer training wheels to make their bikes safer for winter conditions (I owned one) but soon discontinued them because they didn't live up to expectations.

    It arrived

holes do not line up Had the same issue on my 2.1. A round file will take care of it, ideally one that is somewhat close in diameter. You may also have to use a file on some of the male/female parts or sliding them together won't happen with or without a mallet.
