Or watch my Sebring century ride on Youtube. Its just over that time on you get to learn the route too.
I already have twice. I am wondering when the official Sebring route will be posted. Every time I look at the route from the official Sebring race page, I get page not found. Anyways. As you said before ... Not too long now and it will be right upon us.

I downloaded the audio book and look forward to listening to it. It's my first audio book. Another interesting thing is I am learning Spanish by reading cycling mags. Nothing like a bit of bike porn. Gosh... It was a great day today... I luv being out in all that glorious sunshine.

Yeah the training together is the problem, and it make it really impractical to truly get your wish the sexy way. .......
As usual Ratz's entire post shortened above is spot on.
To keep the conversation going a few thoughts on comments since his post: Drafting is allowed by folks on different laps and is planned by some groups. What I don't think is allowed is for riders not in the race to go on the track to assist riders. In other words when riders finish their hundred mile race they are done. Time to park the bike. They are now spectators and have no business on the 11 mile loop or race track. I hope all our fast riders don't opt for the hundred :( If all our fast riders do the hundred except for Jason in the 24hr all the Cruzbike eggs are in two baskets. Hopefully we can get some guys capable of winning the 12 hour in this race. On another note I haven't seen Ben T. named mentioned but there is another fast guy to add to the list. If one were to film a loop to sync on a smart trainer the 11 mile loop is the perfect place to start.

Be just told me he is doing the 24 non-drafting. (So there's 2 - Jason and Ben!)

A few others who don't really frequent this forum:
Kevin Gambill - He will do the 12 I'm pretty sure - He won it last year with 276.6 miles - (Our plan was to ride together last year, but I flatted, wrecked and dislocated my left shoulder - best laid plans!) I hope we can stick together this time and hopefully more to help - Someone should break 280 or more.
Alvin Maxwell - He could probably win the Century on either his upright TT or his new Vendetta. (I forecast the winner will be either him or Jim P.)
...
Honorable mention:
Also spoke to Joe today. He is training very hard and consistent this winter. He recently moved and is going to be tied up with home rennovations probably through the Spring. He says he'll hate to miss it, but will be cheering for all the Cruzbikes. He plans on winning the N24HC next June! :)

The hundred will be so loaded with fast DF, Cruzbikes, and other recumbents that the pack will be large enough that six or seven have an equal chance of winning. It will be a crap shoot where the fastest might not win.

So far it looks like there will be three women Cruzbikers at Sebring, Maria, Tanya, and Connie. Hopefully more will consider coming out and giving it a go!

It's hard to believe it is actually 2o17 now!
6 weeks from yesterday we'll all be at Sebring!
Almost time to taper - the older you are - the more taper you are aloud to take! :D

Emmmm must be lack of sun.

Feel zapped.

Still beating my best times though. New year resolution was to cut out the pastries and salted sunflower seeds until after the race.

This unfortunately means no doughnuts.

I said that I would reach my target racing weight which I worked out to be 72kg. Probably still too heavy for the hills of California but ok for Sebring.

Working on the nutrition for the big day. I am thinking that I just need a litre of juice and something to eat.

(Like a doughnut. Otherwise Brainfuz might get me. Don't want to take the wrong turn)

I am thinking of basing my nutrition on Advocare Rehydrate. Anyone used it?

Perhaps being on a keto diet, I might even water it down.

Its found in a lot of camping / outdoors type stores. REI has it. Of course good ol amazon is probably the best place. Find it here. I noticed the formula in the Amazon shop has reduced both the sodium and glucose from the packs I use. That might help in its awful taste. This stuff is a no nonsense rehydration mix that isn't for the timid. It tastes a bit bitter when taken while sitting on the couch but taken in the wild it goes down very nicely.

but taken in the wild
That's us: "The Wild" tribe of Cruzbikers ... We'll descend on Sebring like a flock of .... like a flock of .... like a flock of .... ???
(obviously need some help here - I think I need some of that rehydration mix right now - everything is gettttting a little fuzzy!):eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I wouldn't be surprised if there are quite a few schlitter encores at Sebring. My brother has seen them practicing on some of the trails I plan to hit when I get over there.

I got back in the saddle today and did an hour's TT. It was one of those rare days when the temperature went up to 18c. Just had some vegetable soup for lunch and got onto the V.

I don't like drivers slowing down so they can watch me in the mirror. Really irritating if I am trying to keep my average up. I like the beginning of the year, you can get your name at the top of the strava segments more easily, no 1 for the year... LOL

I DONT KNOW WHAT ANYTHING MEANS - but I am sure enjoying it.

I found its quite good to wear compression socks even after a tough ride
