    Q559 on eBay

Hello kdc, et al.: WOB here - the eBay listing is actually showing photos of a 451 v2 Quest, so would be good to correct subject line. If anyone does know of a 559 v3 Quest; its chainstay or unsuspended fork; and/or either wheel size wheelset w/DualDrive please let me know ! Cheerio, Bill

    Cruzebike Quest 559 plus extras...

Thanks Ray - apologies for slow response - must have opted out of notifications, so will have to be more diligent! I have both a 451 v2 & 559 v3, but generally prefer to run the 451's on the v3 frame [packs "flatter" w/long chainstay when fork removed…] . So actually looking for 451 [or 406]...

Greetings Ray: Bit of a long shot - wondering what became of the 451 wheel set? Thanks! Bill

Incidentally, one of my Quests is a V2 and I’d like to lock out the front shock; or replace it with a fixed one if those weigh less. Can you assist me with those two pieces of information? (come to think of it, I’d also be curious as to weight difference between the short & long chainstays for...

Hi Doug, In looking at an older post on adjustment of the Diatech Comp headset, I’ve been meaning to relate that I find it preferable to invert the bike and position it in such a way that the headset is pretty much vertical. Else when upright I find that the offset angle of fork/wheel tends to...

    One - Q.... Two - Q.... 3 more to go.

Thus far the Quest… ...has been nothing but wonderful! I've been woefully remiss in follow-up [out riding too much?] as a follow-up to my post #3 at http://cruzbike.com/34-tooth-cassette-recommendation. Snapped up the 11-36 Sunrace casette last fall which has worked perfectly [& shifts...

    34 tooth cassette recommendation

11-36 in the Offing… Howdy Pete, Thanks for posting this information and the photos - I'm planning to take the same approach with my new Q3-559, so eager to hear if the change has met your expectations? The 11-34 cassette should bring our bikes down to within 3-4% of the low end...

    700c Quest 3?

Two-Tone Temptation Thanks for everyone's feedback (Charles - sorry I oversaw your comment while posting my follow-up...) I prefer things black and white - errr...orange - myself; and should I ever get around to building a 406 wheelset, tire selection will be a no-brainer!

    700c Quest 3?

Hair's Breadth Aha Dudley - glad to see we're thinking along the same lines. My sense is that the fork would be robust enough for a bit of judicious modification - though perhaps not essential if left as a fair-weather ride (e.g. sans fenders). FWIW, I do know of a Q1 rider who's...

    700c Quest 3?

Per Dudley's recent post (http://cruzbike.com/pannier-rack-needed-quest#comment-21806) there's a definite difference between the rear dropouts from Q2 to Q3 - and it goes beyond rack mounting points. Q3 now handily accommodates a 700c rear wheel, as the kickstand mount is further from the...

    pannier rack needed for quest

Another Option Hi Lisa, Glad to hear you're enjoying your new Q559 - I'm awaiting one myself! I stumbled upon another possible solution which Nanda Holz used on a 559 of a few years back. There's a number of pictures at this link...

Vendetta on rollers instead of a trainer?

Roller Surge Season's Greetings everyone! Pete of SportCrafters recently conveyed some new developments as follows: "I've been working with another athlete with a recumbent 2-wheel on a roller, and he's reporting the same problem that we've been working on with a few handcycles on our...
