What is the correct way to wash the seat cushions?

Is there a thicker open air mesh cushion to deal with the 37 drg C 98 F days

Regards

Hi SuperSlim,
in the laundry

Hi SuperSlim,
in the laundry tub, bit of liquid detergent, or shampoo, warm water, rub with your hands, rinse, stand up to dry.

What happens to the pads when

What happens to the pads when it rains while the bike is parked outside? Do they "sponge" the water in?

The water flows through, it

The water flows through, it is not heldor sponged in, because we use the more expensive reticualted polyester, rather than standard cushion foam. On the seat pan where it is dished, some water can be held. Some folks take the cushions off the bike if it is parked in the rain.

Make sure to wash them

I thought that I would chip with some advice that it is a good idea to wash your seat cushion. I lost my back seat cushion by not taking it off when driving with the bike on a car carrier. I managed to borrow one from a demo bike and I pulled the cusion out and the outer cushion was fairly full of grey fluff. This will be Aspergillis niger fungus and is not really a health problem, just messy. It will grow on the cushion after it has sweat soaked into it, so an occasional wash is a good idea.
