General Description

Options Overview

The 20" (451) small wheels give you

  • a lower seat height;
  • an extra short x-seam fitting down to 915mm or 36" ;
  • an extra long x-seam fitting, up to 1245mm 49" x-seam (when fitted with a long slider and long chainstay);
  • suitcase foldability;
  • nimble handling;
  • quick acceleration.

The 26x1.0 wheels give you

  • fitting for average leg height persons, which make up 90% of riders;
  • a better ride over less than ideal surfaces;
  • lower rolling resistance;
  • additional higher rider height in traffic;
  • a reasonably compact folded size (actually, the 26" wheel box is about twice the size of the frame box!)

When using 26" wheels, tires larger than 26x1.0 do not fit and the bike is not supported for those larger tire sizes. This is because of insufficient clearance under the front fork crown. This short clearance is part of the design to achieve a compact folded size as the fork length is one of the critical dimensions.
