Riding with the family

November 5, 2011 Maria Parker

It is not often that I get an opportunity to ride with my children. My daughter Genevieve, visiting from Los Angeles often Cruzbikes around Los Angeles, particularly the Santa Monica area. Since visiting North Carolina, she has Cruzbiked daily and noted the differences between rural North Carolina and Los Angeles.

Each week another cycling friend hosts a social ride and Genevieve, my son Will, Jim and I all went. It was an incredibly beautiful North Carolina spring evening. We rode about 25 miles out in the country through the newly planted corn fields and wheat fields that are shades of green and gold. It was a happy evening for me.
