The T50 is a gorgeous, simple recumbent road bike that is delightfully affordable, comfortable and versatile. It is the hop-on-and-go Cruzbike. It is equipped with bosses so you can add racks and panniers for carrying beach towels, groceries or a picnic. Plus, the seat back angle is our most upright so you can ride comfortably with a great view.

This is our simplest, most elegant frame design. But don't let its simplicity fool you - it leverages more than a decade of experience making our fast, comfortable, fun-to-ride recumbent road bikes.

Cruzbike T50 Gen 3 Tech Specs and Fit

Frame

The T50 frame is made of 7005 T6 aluminum alloy and for the new 2022 T50 it is improved for an even better ride. The main frame is now a 60mm tube (instead of 2 inch) with improved gusseting for strength. The result is an even better more positive feel on the road. We also made the rear end on the main frame e-hub capable for aftermarket electrification.

Front Triangle

Custom designed power triangle with telescoping inner tube plus oversized 34.9 mm outer tube for additional stiffness, constructed from quality 7005 T6 aluminum alloy.

Adjustable Seat

Our new seat attachment uses a proven rail system attached directly to the frame. This allows for infinite adjustment front to back, so you can find the perfect weight balance for your height and leg length.

PLUS the 2022 T50 features the new fiber/resin seat introduced on the latest Cruzbike Q45 adventure touring bike. It delivers a fantastic compliant road feel, is half a pound lighter and one and a half inches taller than its aluminum predecessor. Pair it with Cruzbike's one piece seat cushion that cradles riders from shoulders to derrier and yep, our favorite cruiser just got even more comfortable.

Compatibility

Drive train: The T50 can take a very wide array of chain driven standard drivetrains. The T50 Complete is outfitted with a single chainring 1x system. With the right handlebar and stem, many mountain or even road drivetrains could be used. The Bottom Bracket Shell is a 68mm standard English thread.

Braze-on derailleur: There is no mount point for a braze-on derailleur. A clamp on derailleur on the boom tube will work.

Tire clearance: 2" tire maximum without fenders, 1.75" tire maximum with fenders.

The Cruzbike Utility Post is an add-on product for the Headrest Cage Mount Kit or the Race Cage. It adds a standard seat tube diameter post that allows you to mount your rear light, camera, or other lightweight accessories onto the headrest cage mount or the back of the race cage.
