TOP THREE RIDES
1 If you go just by what route I ride most often it would be between my home and office. However, having lived in the southern California desert for over 30 years, I always look forward to riding in the northwest where I grew up. Being able to see water and trees instead of dry barren desert is always an added bonsus.
2 Out of Sandpoint, Idaho the ride to Schweitzer Ski resort is my favorite. Any where on the 80 mile long trail of the Coeur d' Alenes is great riding, but I like a little more of a challenge. I get off the trail at Wallace, Idaho and climb over Dobson pass. Then is a really long decent first off the pass, down Beaver Creek until it empties into the North Fork of the Coeur d' Alene river. Then 22 miles along the river until it crosses the trail of the Coeur d' Alenes. Then it is about 18 miles to return to Wallace. Great riding.
3 The bike trail from the Idaho-Washington border down along the Spokane River is another great place to ride.
TELL US HOW YOU CHOSE CRUZBIKE
I had been having problems with my lower back for years riding a traditional bike. I was looking at the Baccehata recumbent, but could not quite convince myself that is what I wanted. I finally built my own wooden version of the recumbent. I liked riding it, but found out I really wanted one with some suspension. My bother-in-law had recommended Northwest Recumbent previously so while on vacation there I stopped in and tried a few models. I left with the Q559.

I'm something of an expert on wind chimes. See my website "Chuck's Chimes" - 10 years ago it seemed fairly popular, less so now!

When you find that you just set a new personnel best time or got a KOM on Strava. Or last summer while climbing up Dobson Pass I found myself in the middle of the ride Idaho group. I passed a lot of riders that day. I even heard that comment "I thought recumbents couldn't climb".
