TOP THREE RIDES
1 My commute along the lake, in the road, in the city, in the burbs. Sometimes it's tough but its almost always the best way to move from A to B.
2 Lot's of stuff in Snohomish county - great old farming roads, long stretches along the river, typically very respectable drivers.
3 One of my favorite rides was the RAMROD (Ride Around Mt Rainier in One Day) route. Beautiful views, LOTS of climbing, and sweeping downhills and rollers.
TELL US HOW YOU CHOSE CRUZBIKE
I was snagged by the logic of the "economies of scale" argument; most of the parts come from a road bike. The promise of decent weight and high-speeds set the hook. And then the super customer service I received *individually* in that first year or two from Cruzbike - that just reeled me right into the boat. Cruzbike offers SUCH an amazing difference from my experience with other companies.
TELL US SOMETHING INTERESTING ABOUT YOURSELF
I skew towards ergonomics and human factors: I stand at my desk, I lay back on my bike, I taught myself to type in DVORAK, and I do Philosophy with 4th and 5th graders through a local Homeschool program.
THEIR EYES POP UP,
THEIR HEADS SPIN AROUND,
AND I USUALLY HEAR A
I am mostly a year-round commuter (aka a Category 6 Racer). I do it for exercise, for environmental reasons, because it's cheaper and more reliable than other methods, and because riding my bike is just fun. I'm pretty hard on my stuff, I tend to leave a lot (too much?) of the grit and grime of the Seattle winter on my bike.
TELL US WHAT A GENUINE
LOOKS LIKE FOR YOU
A genuine Cruzbike moment is the unfiltered wonderment in a kid's face as I pass. Their eyes pop up, their head spins around, and I usually hear a truly authentic "WHOAAA!". They love it, it always puts a smile on my face, and makes me feel a little bit like a celebrity.
