Top Gifts for Cruzbike Recumbent Road Bike Owners: 2024-2025

Unlike most people I know, I haven’t done a single bit of Christmas shopping yet and I am writing this on December 12th. I’m blaming a combination of factors: a late Thanksgiving, knee surgery the week before Thanksgiving and some wicked illnesses thanks to the little petri dishes that are our beloved grandchildren.

Christmas is still a couple of weeks away, so if you are thinking about a Cruzbike related gift for yourself or a loved one, I have some great suggestions for you below. If you act soon, these gifts can be at your door before Christmas. If not, any of them make lovely “get-through-the-winter” gifts:

#1: Topping my list is our newly-released Race Cage.

We’ve been working on a headrest mounted way to carry water and other goods for years. Our first attempts were not as successful as we hoped, but we finally have hit on a winner that combines practicality, light weight, carry capacity and aerodynamics for S40 and V20c owners. If you are a Cruzbike S40 or V20c rider or like someone who is, this will make an amazing gift. As one reviewer put it, "If love was two words, it might be Race Cage."

#2: Our Rolling Bike Storage Stand.

I am completely flummoxed as to why this does not have more 5 star reviews. Since a customer turned us on this product, we have sold through two batches. Unfortunately, the Italian company that made it originally stopped making it so we had to find a new supplier. The newer version is even better. We use this in the warehouse and our garage all the time. The Cruzbike front wheel drops into the stand and the wire sides clamp together holding it securely . The wheels on the stand allow you to move your bike around easily while remaining in the stand. No  bike domino fall-overs on garage cleaning day!

#3: Game-changing item for me is our Adjustable Carbon Fiber Seat and Headrest

I have fallen in love with my V20c all over again with this new seating position. We now added an extension for the version that works for the S40 so you don’t feel like you are sliding forward on the seat pan making it even more comfortable for that bike.

#4: Cruzbike Branded Apparel

We’ve recently added some Cruzbike branded apparel and goods. These probably won’t arrive in time for Christmas because they are printed and shipped when ordered, but they’re a great way to sport your Cruzbike colors. Consider an embroidered five panel cap, beanie, sweatshirt, windbreaker or an aluminum water bottle. Let us know what you think about these items and what other branded things you’d like us to carry. Of course a favorite is always the now classic (and quick-shipping) Cruzbike T-shirt or Jersey.

#5: If you don't already have one, get yourself a Cruzbike.

Now is a great time to build fitness for spring and summer races and bike-travel adventures. For those who want to build up a frameset, it's also a great time to order your frameset and start building it up your dream V20c or S40. Finally, If you or your loved one haven’t put your Cruzbike on a trainer and started Zwifting, what are you waiting for? If you start now, you can be in great shape for your first road ride this spring or to come and participate in the Bike Sebring bike races in Florida in February.
