Currently Hiring: Creative Content Producer (Part-Time, Contract)

Posted: October 5, 2026 | Application Closes: October 23, 2026

We're hiring a part-time, contract Creative Content Producer to own creative production: the weekly emails, social posts, images, and print pieces that keep Cruzbike in front of riders. About 10 hours a week, reporting to Lucia Parker, Director of Marketing.

The brand, the strategy, and the systems already exist. We have a documented visual identity, an email design spec, voice guides, and a prioritized Jira backlog. What we need is a skilled maker who can take an approved brief and turn it into finished, on-brand work, week after week, without needing it redone.

After a two-week onboarding sprint, you'll be drafting and producing our weekly email and social on your own, from Jira briefs and approved content plans, with Lucia reviewing copy before it goes out.

What you'll do

Roughly half your time goes to recurring weekly work. The rest goes to production tasks from the backlog, which ramp up around launches and events.

Every week

  • Draft the weekly marketing email from the brief in its Jira ticket. Once Lucia approves the copy, build it in Klaviyo following our Email Design Spec, test it, send proofs, and schedule it.

  • Write first-draft captions and create Facebook and Instagram posts from an approved content plan, then schedule them once approved.

  • Moderate comments and DMs on Facebook and Instagram, answering what you can and escalating the rest using clear rules.

  • Keep our automated email flows (welcome, post-purchase, new owner) current when products, links, or offers change.

Launches, events, and projects

  • Produce launch email sequences, typically six to eight emails per launch, from teaser to last call.

  • Prep product images and composites, and keep our photo and asset library organized.

  • Cut short-form video and social edits from existing footage.

  • Produce light ad creative for our paid ads agency, such as static images, resized variants, and short cuts, to their specs and our creative review checklist.

  • Produce print collateral for trade shows, such as banners, brochures, and business cards, and handle vendor proofs.

  • Format and publish blog posts from supplied copy and photos, including fast-turnaround race updates during live athlete events.

  • Update Shopify product listings, swap images, and format specs and build notes provided by our product manager.

  • Take on small owner-resource projects, like assembly QR stickers and support page fixes.

What stays with Lucia

You won't be asked to set strategy or carry the brand voice alone. Lucia owns marketing strategy, campaign planning, launch sequencing, final copy on key emails, and agency and partner relationships. Anything signed by Jim or Maria Parker, our founders, stays with them and Lucia. That leaves you free to focus on making the work excellent.

What we're looking for

  • A portfolio of clean, polished production work across email, social, and print. Show us you can work inside an existing visual system and make it look better, not different.
  • Hands-on Klaviyo experience, or deep experience in a comparable email platform such as Mailchimp or HubSpot.
  • Fluency in a design tool: Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, since that's what our existing files and workflows use. If you do great work in other tools, such as Figma or Canva, we're open to them.
  • Photo editing skills: color correction, retouching, product composites, and cropping images for email, social, and web formats.
  • Short-form video editing for Reels and social, from footage you didn't shoot.
  • Working knowledge of Shopify, Meta Business Suite, and Google Drive, where most of our existing assets live.
  • A sharp eye for detail. Product names, specs, record figures, and links have to be exactly right, every time.
  • Strong writing and editing instincts. You'll write first drafts of our weekly emails and social captions in the Cruzbike voice, with Lucia reviewing them. You need to hear when copy sounds generic, off-brand, or machine-written, and fix it. AI tools are fine for drafts. Anything presented as coming from a real person must be written by a human, and you should be able to tell the difference.
  • Comfort with AI-supported workflows. Our brand guidelines are built to work with AI tools, and we use them for briefs, first drafts, and production support. You'll use them to work faster, and you'll bring the judgment to know when the output is ready and when it needs a human hand.
  • Steady under deadlines. Launches and live race events mean same-day turnarounds a few times a year.
  • Comfort working from a prioritized queue and taking direction from one person.

Nice to have

  • You ride. Road, gravel, tri, touring, recumbent, any of it. Recumbent experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • Experience with Jira or a similar task-tracking tool.

How the role works

  • One queue, one manager. All your work comes through Jira, planned in two-week sprints and prioritized by Lucia. Requests from the rest of the team go through an intake form, not straight to you. Your hours stay protected.
  • Hours: about 10 hours per week, on a schedule you set. We'll need a few hours of overlap each week with Lucia's working hours (9am to 2pm US Eastern) for check-ins and approvals.
  • Location: fully remote, open to candidates based anywhere in the US.
  • Onboarding: you'll start by learning our Brand OS, the guides that define how Cruzbike looks, sounds, and tells the truth about its riders and records.

Your first sprints

  • Sprint 1 (weeks 1–2), onboarding at a lighter load: learn the Brand OS and get set up in our tools. Then draft and build your first weekly email and social posts, with Lucia reviewing closely.
  • Sprint 2 (weeks 3–4): own the weekly email and social from Jira briefs and content plans, with Lucia reviewing copy before it goes out.
  • Sprint 3 onward: keep the weekly work running and take on launch, event, and backlog production.

Compensation

  • Pay: $45 to $60 per hour, depending on experience, for roughly 10 hours per week. This is an independent contractor role.

  • Start date: as soon as possible, ideally by early November 2026.

How to Apply

To apply, send Lucia (lucia@cruzbike.com) an email that follows these steps exactly.

  1. Use this exact subject line: Creative Content Producer: [Your Full Name]

  2. Include links to three to five pieces you produced, covering at least two of email, social, and print. Add one line on what you did for each, and include at least one piece where you wrote the copy. Send links only, with no attachments.

  3. Pick one recent Cruzbike email or Instagram post (@cruzbike). In under 150 words, tell us one design change you'd make and why. Link directly to the post, or give the email's exact subject line, so we can find it. Write this yourself.

  4. Tell us your weekly availability, your time zone, and confirm that you're based in the US.

Applications that skip a step won't be reviewed.

Finalists will complete a short trial project, paid at a flat fee, such as building an email in Klaviyo from approved copy or producing a week of social posts from a brief.

Application closes October 23, 2026.

We can't wait to meet you!
